Take Me To the Ballgame!

Factories come in all shapes and sizes. Some are tiny. Others are huge! Here's one of the largest factories you can imagine - and yes, you can see how the whole thing works.

Tour: Dodger Stadium
Address: 1000 Vin Scully Ave., Los Angeles, CA  90012
Site: http://m.mlb.com/dodgers/tickets/tours

Not all factories pump out physical products. Some are places where intangible products are created such as broken records and livelong memories.

You might have visited Dodger Stadium as a spectator, but Factory Tourists know there's a whole story going on where regular people don't go.

Lots of Dodger Blue to go around!

The "factory" tour of Dodger Stadium starts at the upper levels, but descends down into one of the oldest Major League Baseball facilities in use. Prepare to see lots of golden glove of the great Dodger players ranging from Jackie Robinson to Clayton Kershaw and Sandy Koufax. You literally get so close to the field, that you can touch it.

Perhaps the biggest thrill for us was the chance to actually sit in the bullpen. You can almost see and hear Tommy Lasorda yelling from there as his Dodgers win another victory. You also get to sit in the press box and see where the legendary Vin Scully used to call the game from.

You'll want to be a big Dodgers fan - or at least a lover of baseball. A good portion of the tour focuses on trophies and awards and other historical moments. If you're not into America's Pastime, you might find these parts to drag a bit.

Otherwise, take me out to the ballgame!
